An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for an enthusiastic Anatomical Pathology Specialist to join their paediatric mortuary service.

The successful candidate will work in a recently renovated and expanded paediatric mortuary, conducting over 450 post-mortem examinations per year. This includes working with families, assisting in the provision of the mortuary service, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting the efficient running of the facility.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and has excellent communication skills.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a small but busy team, developing your skills and expertise in anatomical pathology technology. You will be expected to keep up-to-date with HTA and UKAS-related issues, as well as undertake on-the-job training and manual handling procedures.

To be considered for this role, you must have a Certificate in Anatomical Pathology Technology or equivalent experience. You should also have extensive relevant experience working within a hospital or public mortuary, including hazardous implant removal and medical information understanding.

This is a Band 6 position, with an estimated salary of £30,130-£37,270 per annum.
