About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Area Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our equipment and facilities at ENGINEERINGUK. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineering technicians, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment while minimizing downtime.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of engineers in executing maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to enhance equipment availability and prevent costly downtime.
  3. Collaborate with the Reliability Engineering Manager to design and execute safety protocols and regulatory compliance measures.
  4. Establish and enforce preventive maintenance procedures to guarantee maximum equipment reliability.
  5. Design and implement staff training programs to ensure a suitable level of technical expertise among the team.

Essential Requirements:

  • Professional qualifications: HND, HNC, IEng, CEng, or ILM L4+
  • Strong industry knowledge: engineering technician team management, complex business processes
  • Linguistic skills: advanced English proficiency and basic skills in additional European languages
  • Practical experience: familiarity with applicable legislation and automated machinery
  • Technical background: understanding of PLCCs and other data analysis tools
  • Leadership skills: management of personnel, organizational framework setup

Compensation Package: Up to £65,000 annually.
