London, Greater London, United Kingdom Potensis Full time
About the Role

Potensis Selection is delighted to partner with an award-winning mixed-use developer who are looking to expand their team and recruit a Senior Development Manager.

The business has built an excellent reputation for place-making and delivering design-led projects throughout London for the last 20 years, delivering private, affordable, and PRS homes in partnership with local authorities and housing associations.

Due to a series of project wins, they are looking to recruit an additional Senior Development Manager to add to their existing team.

This person will help shape and deliver the overall development strategy for a complex, mixed-use project within London; providing advice at the pre-acquisition stage and then delivering through all aspects of the design and planning process.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Developing the project brief, including site constraints, design principles, program, etc.
  • Managing the project's financial viability and updating on a regular basis (i.e., projected revenue, construction costs, program, consultant fees, and land costs).
  • Appointing the project team, including architect, planning consultancy, design consultant team, and any other relevant external consultant teams.
  • Coordinating design development through regular meetings with the architect, consultants, and technical team.
  • Preparing, monitoring, and driving the agreed development program to ensure the project meets all agreed project milestones.
  • Establishing and implementing a robust handover strategy to the Delivery Team.
  • Forging effective relationships with JV and Affordable Housing partners.
  • Ensuring the project is managed through to the successful granting of planning permission.

This role would suit an existing Senior Development Manager interested in working with a business that has an excellent committed pipeline on some of London's most prestigious projects or a Development Manager working with a property company looking to progress their career to the next level.

An attractive salary package is on offer, along with benefits including health insurance and a pension scheme. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in development management and be able to demonstrate a track record of success in managing complex projects.
