Financial Operations Specialist

VANRATH are pleased to be working with a well-known Public Sector Organisation through a period of significant growth. They require an experienced Senior Finance Officer to assist with their finance operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of financial information for month end and annual reporting in accordance with strict deadlines
- Ensuring an adequate audit trail exists and providing information, explanations, and working papers to internal and external auditors
- Maintaining the integrity of the Finance, Procurement, and Logistics System (FPL) through sound procedures and controls
- Preparing payment schedules based on a claims process
About You:
A University Degree or equivalent higher qualification in a Finance related discipline e.g. Business Studies, Accounting, or Management AND worked for 1 year in a Finance role of which 1 year should be at a supervisory level. Alternatively, you may have a Technicians professional qualification AND worked for 1 year in a Finance role at a supervisory level. OR HNC/HND or equivalent/higher qualification in a business/finance related field AND 2 years' experience in a Finance role of which 1 year should be at a supervisory level. OR 3 years' experience in a Finance role of which 2 years should be at a supervisory level.
