Role Purpose

The Global Health Specialist will be responsible for developing, communicating, and maintaining occupational safety and health policies, arrangements, and procedures in line with country legislation globally.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop strong relationships with local stakeholders and provide practical solutions to support a positive health and safety culture.
  2. Provide guidance on policies and procedures in an easy-to-understand language, ensuring stakeholders can grasp key concepts.
  3. Monitor and evaluate new or changing health and safety legislation and its potential impact on the business, providing advice and guidance accordingly.
  4. Ensure all regulatory reporting is completed to time and accuracy, including RIDDOR.
  5. Undertake health and safety related incident investigations and provide assistance to the Travelex Group Insurance, Insurers, and their legal teams as needed.
Accountabilities
  1. Production of concise and accurate health and safety risk assessments, reports, and recommendations.
  2. Maintenance and update of health and safety policy, procedures, and training material.
  3. Ensure protections in place for the travelling business community are communicated and appropriate.
Working Relationships

The Global Health Specialist will develop sound professional working relationships with Operations colleagues, business staff, and management globally, working closely with HR and C&R teams in country.

Management Information

Produce accurate, timely, and relevant health and safety risk management information for the Group Risk Director, Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, Travelex Risk Committees, and Travelex Country boards.

Communication
  1. Responsible for proactive and regular communication of health and safety related information with other areas of Compliance & Risk and to the business stakeholders.
  2. Be supportive of and encourage support for "people initiatives" such as Your Voice, DE&I.
General
  1. Undertakes any necessary training associated with the duties of the post and participates in training and development as required.
  2. Complies with all Company Health and Safety policies and legislation in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.
