Finance Assistant Role

Benjamin Edwards is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join their team in Sleaford. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of banking and finance activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple sites to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit weekly short-term cash flow forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Verify debtor reconciliations and customer account allocations to prevent errors.
  • Process payment runs for approval by the Head of Finance, ensuring seamless financial operations.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for direct postings to the nominal ledger, ensuring all transactions are supported by invoices.
  • Assist in responding to audit queries related to your areas of responsibility.
  • Contribute to treasury activities, including process development and improvement projects.
  • Support payroll activities and provide administrative assistance to the finance team.
  • Perform other duties and ad-hoc reporting/analysis tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Excel.
  • Experience with Xero is desirable.
  • A team player with a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
