Benjamin Edwards is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join their team in Sleaford. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of banking and finance activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily bank reconciliations for multiple sites to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and submit weekly short-term cash flow forecasts to the Head of Finance.
- Verify debtor reconciliations and customer account allocations to ensure accuracy.
- Process payment runs for approval by the Head of Finance as required.
- Act as a gatekeeper to prevent direct postings to the nominal ledger, ensuring all transactions are supported by invoices.
- Assist in responding to audit queries related to areas of responsibility.
- Contribute to treasury activity development and improvement projects.
- Support payroll activities and provide administrative assistance to the finance team.
- Perform other duties and ad-hoc reporting/analysis tasks as required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft packages, including Excel.
- Experience with Xero is desirable.
- A team player with a can-do attitude.
