At Scotiabank, we're committed to helping small business owners achieve their goals. As a Small Business Advisor, you'll play a key role in building strong relationships with our clients and providing them with expert advice to drive their success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Relationship Management: Manage a portfolio of high-value and complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and other negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank's Service Standard.
  2. Community Engagement: Develop relationships with various Centres of Influence to create a strong presence within the local business community.
  3. Business Development: Proactively engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice to help them build successful businesses.

Requirements:

  1. Results-Oriented Attitude: Possess a results-oriented attitude and have sound knowledge of the small business market, including the features and benefits of small business products and services.
  2. Business Development Techniques: Demonstrate excellent business development techniques and be conversant with small business legal structures and life cycles, competitor offerings, and alternate sources of financing.
  3. Organizational Skills: Have good organizational skills and be flexible to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  4. Education and Experience: Have an education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner.
  5. Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
