The Role of the Business Development Manager

  • To sell a range of vascular access products, including IV, extension sets, and accessories.
  • Selling to A&E, theatres, maternity, CT, and pathology departments.
  • To work with other sales specialists and provide training on specific products.
  • To meet and exceed financial and non-financial targets.
  • To analyze the market, develop a sales strategy, and present it to management for approval.
  • To perform all activities to maximize sales, from product introduction to closing and contract negotiation.
  • To conduct regular product evaluations.
  • To achieve weekly and monthly KPIs, such as face-to-face meetings.
  • To cover the Derbyshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Cambridge areas.

The Ideal Candidate for the Business Development Manager

  • At least 3 years of sales experience with consistent over-plan performance.
  • Thorough knowledge of the decision-making process with customers.
  • Ideal qualifications include a degree in life science, engineering, business, or a relevant advanced degree.
  • Previous medical sales experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Results-oriented and sales force competencies.
  • Team-oriented and full driving license.
