About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Optical Manager to join our team at Asda Stores Ltd. As a key member of our retail healthcare operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation of our optical department, ensuring high-quality patient service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of Optometrists and Optical Assistants to deliver exceptional patient care and meet department targets.
  • Oversee compliance processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Review sales forecasting and department targets, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Deal with customer queries and concerns, providing excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with an Optometrist to coach and develop your team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Confident in coaching and developing others.
  • Able to provide excellent customer and patient care.
  • Driven and ambitious, with a proven track record of achieving targets.
  • Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced optics environment.
