About the Role

As a key member of the Asda Opticians team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and service. Our Optical Managers are responsible for overseeing the entire operation, including managing a team of Optometrists and Optical assistants, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations, and driving sales growth and department targets.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Optometrists and Optical assistants to deliver high-quality patient service.
  • Oversee compliance processes and procedures to ensure the department meets regulatory requirements.
  • Review sales forecasting and department targets to drive growth and improvement.
  • Deal with customer queries and provide excellent patient care.
  • Work closely with an Optometrist to coach and develop the team, focusing on coaching and developing others.
  • Manage the shop floor process to ensure the department is well-equipped to meet customer needs.
About You

We are looking for a fully qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the General Optical Council (GOC), with a proven track record of leadership in a fast-paced Optics environment. You will be confident in coaching others, able to provide excellent customer and patient care, and driven to meet department targets. You will also have a strong understanding of compliance processes and procedures.
