About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Worker. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and nurturing environment for young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to young people during challenging times, helping them to develop coping strategies and build resilience.
  • Fostering Ambition: Foster ambition and motivation in young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and maximizing their potential.
  • Education Support: Offer support and guidance to young people in their educational pursuits, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports for planning meetings, reviews, and other meetings as directed by the line manager.
  • Empowerment: Empower young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Advocacy: Act as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion, ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are met.
  • Community Engagement: Encourage community engagement and participation, attending off-site activities and expanding the young person's personal social networks.
  • Domestic Duties: Meet the needs of children and young people, organizing social activities and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.).
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Minimum age requirement of 21 years old.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license preferable.
  • Experience: No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people.
  • Training: Attendance at a 2-week training program required.
  • Availability: Must have availability for sleep-in shifts.
