Key Responsibilities- Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to young people during challenging times, helping them to develop coping strategies and build resilience.
- Personal Development: Foster ambition and encourage young people to set and achieve their goals, helping them to maximize their potential and develop a positive sense of self.
- Education and Training: Support young people in their educational pursuits, helping them to access resources and opportunities that will enhance their learning and personal development.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of young people's progress, preparing written reports for planning meetings and reviews as required.
- Advocacy: Act as an advocate for young people in meetings and discussions, ensuring their voice is heard and their needs are met.
- Community Engagement: Encourage young people to participate in community activities and events, helping them to build social networks and develop a sense of belonging.
- Domestic Duties: Assist with domestic duties, including laundry, cooking, cleaning, and shopping, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Age: Minimum age requirement of 21 years old.
- Driving License: Full UK driving license preferable.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary, but a commitment to working with young people and a passion for making a positive difference.
- Training: Attendance at a 2-week training program required.
- Availability: Must have availability for sleep-in shifts.
- Training and Development: Access to complete your NVQ Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce, with opportunities to progress to Level 5 after passing your 6-month probation.
- Work-Life Balance: 2-3 shifts per week on a full-time basis, providing an excellent work-life balance.
- Comprehensive Induction: Comprehensive induction and training provided to ensure you have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this role.
