Key Responsibilities
  • Dynamic Supplier Relations: Manage and support relationships with suppliers through various communication channels, including face-to-face meetings and site visits.
  • Strategic Negotiation: Negotiate and purchase from approved suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and stock criteria are met.
  • Research and Development: Actively seek out and research new products, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to current procedures, with a focus on system housekeeping and administrative excellence.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to resolve stock queries, manage missed sales, and support site-specific requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong buying and trading experience, with a strong desire to progress in a growing organisation. You will be driven and thrive in a fast-paced environment, always seeking the best margins and new business opportunities. You will be a confident and engaging communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team.
