Key Responsibilities
  • Direct commercial fieldwork initiatives, including watching briefs and short evaluations
  • Write grey literature reports and ensure timely submission
  • Manage teams of archaeologists and trainees, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure project success

Requirements
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of British archaeology across all eras
  • Familiarity with post-excavation reporting and analysis
  • A keen interest in and proficiency with field archaeology techniques
  • The ability to operate alone or as a team leader with courtesy and professionalism
  • Proficient computer skills and proficiency with GIS software
  • Prior experience managing employees and a driver's license
Desirable Qualifications
  • Relevant archaeological training
  • Familiarity with GIS software like QGIS3
  • Membership in CIFRA
