The Role

We are seeking a skilled Accommodation Officer to join our Independent Living function, providing a well-rounded Housing Management service to our tenants.

This role will be based at one of our Independent Living Schemes in Rushden, where you will be directly dealing with our tenants, helping and guiding them towards successfully sustaining their own tenancy.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a high-quality Housing Management service, overseeing allocations and lettings as well as tenancy management.
  • Conducting Building Safety Checks and ensuring the buildings' security.
  • Liaising with the assets team in relation to any repairs which need carrying out.
  • Monitoring on-site contractors completing works.
  • Providing support to tenants with benefit claims, budgeting, move-on plans, and promoting an independent lifestyle.

We are looking for a people-focused individual with previous experience in customer-facing roles, who is resilient and able to deal with challenging circumstances. Previous Housing management experience is essential, and we are looking for someone who is looking to further develop their skills.
