The Role

We are seeking an Accommodation Officer to join our Independent Living function, providing a well-rounded Housing Management service to our tenants. This role will be based at one of our Independent Living Schemes in Rushden.

As an Accommodation Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing a high-quality Housing Management service, overseeing allocations and lettings, and tenancy management.
  • Conducting Building Safety Checks and ensuring the buildings' security.
  • Liaising with the assets team regarding repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitoring on-site contractors completing works.
  • Providing support to tenants with benefit claims, budgeting, and move-on plans.
  • Helping promote an independent lifestyle to our tenants.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will be a people-focused individual with previous experience in customer-facing roles. You will be dealing with vulnerable individuals facing homelessness, so it's essential you are resilient and able to handle challenging circumstances. We are looking for someone with previous Housing management experience who is looking to further develop their skills.
