Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our unique early childhood education setting. Our nursery combines traditional preschool education with the wonders of the natural world, providing a stimulating and nurturing environment for children to explore and learn.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Oversee daily operations, including staff management, scheduling, and training. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement an innovative outdoor curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards and incorporates nature-based learning, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging educational experience for children.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety regulations are met, maintaining a clean, safe, and engaging learning space that promotes the well-being of children and staff.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and promoting the nursery within the local community, fostering a sense of belonging and partnership.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage financials, budgets, enrolment, and supplies, maintaining accurate records and reports, ensuring the smooth operation of the nursery.
Requirements
  • Hold a full and relevant early years childcare qualification, level 3 or above.
  • Experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting, with a strong background in nature-based programs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood education standards and practices, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
