Accounts Payable Director

Role Overview:This is an ideal position for a professional with a minimum of 3 years of solid Accounts Payable experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, overseeing all Accounts Payable functions, and ensuring efficient processing.
- Staff Management: Plan tasks, review work product, evaluate performance, and direct daily activities to ensure effective team operation.
- Procedure Establishment: Develop procedures and guidelines according to CAPP standards to mitigate risks and ensure efficient processing.
- Internal Controls: Use CAPP guidelines to maintain internal controls over Accounts Payable functions and assist team members in achieving department goals.
- Workload Distribution: Ensure equal distribution of work among team members and respond to internal and external requests for information and assistance.
- Electronic Transfers: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, oversee staff expenses, and conduct aged creditor reviews.
- Transaction Reconciliation: Maintain, approve, and reconcile Accounts Payable transactions.
- Invoice Review: Review and verify invoices, set them up for payment, and enter and upload invoices into the financial system.
- Payment Authorization: Authorize payment runs and cultivate inclusive working relationships.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with coworkers and the wider accounts team.
The ideal candidate must possess:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Manager in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills - both written and oral.
- Professional attitude and ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- Strong customer focus and good knowledge of Oracle-based systems.
- Highly numerate and accurate with excellent attention to detail.
- Leadership skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
The estimated salary for this position is approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. However, please note that the actual salary may vary depending on individual circumstances.
