The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Global Accounts Payable Director to join our Financial Control Team. This key role will oversee accounts payable day-to-day operations, manage relationships with vendors and budget owners, and contribute to process improvements. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in accounts payable, procurement, and finance, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of finance and accounting functions, preferably with relevant qualifications. They will also be familiar with international business operations, including foreign currency transactions. Additionally, they will have experience working with various accounting ERPs and MS/GoogleSuite tools.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a global accounts payable team, driving efficiency, productivity, and quality within the function
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize accounts payable operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal business partners, suppliers, and external partners
- Collaborate with the Procurement Team to drive Procure to Pay goals and objectives
- Work closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure alignment between AP Framework and other key WorldRemit processes and controls
- Lead procurement negotiations for new deals and renewal of existing contracts
- Overall strategy and direction for the AP function, aligning with company goals and objectives
- Accountability for the delivery of high-quality AP services to stakeholders, meeting or exceeding service level agreements
- Responsibility for driving process improvements and cost savings initiatives within the AP function
- Leadership and management of the AP team, including coaching, training, and development
We offer a competitive estimated salary of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
