About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Scientific Computing Graduate to join our team at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the advancement of scientific computing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement high-performance computing solutions to support scientific research
  • Design and implement data management systems to store and analyze large datasets
  • Collaborate with scientists and researchers to understand their computing needs and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in scientific computing and apply that knowledge to improve our systems and processes
Requirements
  • Achieved or be on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field of study
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK at the time of starting employment
  • Experience of Linux system management, clouds, PC/server hardware, or networking
  • Programming experience, preferably in one of Java, Javascript, C, C++, or Python
  • Experience of software engineering methodologies
