About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Scientific Computing Graduate to join our team at the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the advancement of scientific computing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on a series of projects, developing your expertise in Linux, cloud, high-performance computing, systems management, and hardware.
  • Contribute to the development of new research data management systems, scientific software, open science, computing, and cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with scientists to deliver solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Develop and implement software engineering methodologies.
Requirements
  • Achieved or be on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK at the time of starting employment.
  • Experience of Linux system management, clouds, PC/server hardware, or networking.
  • Programming experience, preferably in Java, JavaScript, C, C++, or Python.
  • Experience of software engineering methodologies.
