As a key member of the Markerstudy Group finance team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making. Your expertise in accounting and financial management will be essential in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business planning.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, including the preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior management, including the development of financial models and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure effective financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

  • Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of working with ERP and finance systems.
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting standards and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong IT skills specifically Microsoft Excel.
  • Good business acumen with commercial thinking.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with stakeholders of all levels.
