We are seeking a Nursing Department Supervisor to join our team at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and providing an effective and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, preferably with experience in a maternity setting. You will be responsible for managing and leading a specialist team in a designated clinical area, contributing to the strategic and operational management of the maternity theatre team. This will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating high-quality patient care within the specialist area of practice.

You will also be responsible for sharing clinical expertise with peers and surgical hub personnel, managing risks, accidents, and incidents in accordance with Trust policy, responding to complaints, and ensuring compliance with Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines. Additionally, you will act as a role model by demonstrating leadership and expertise, maintaining credibility within the Division, the wider healthcare community, and external agencies.

In this role, you will work closely with the Service Manager to identify and assist the professional education, training, and development needs of staff and facilitate the achievement of these objectives through staff appraisal. You will also maintain a specialist level of expertise through post-registration study, demonstrating continuing professional development.

Compensation:

£42,000 - £62,000 per annum, depending on experience.
