**Job Title:** Nurse Diabetes Educator

The Diabetes Times is looking for an experienced Nurse Diabetes Educator to join our team. As a key member of our endocrinology department, you will play a vital role in educating patients and healthcare professionals about diabetes management.

About the Role:

Your responsibilities will include developing educational programs for staff, providing advice and support to patients and relatives, communicating effectively with healthcare teams, and ensuring confidentiality and managing day-to-day service provision.

Salary: £52,000 - £62,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop educational programs for staff in diabetes management
  • Provide advice, information, education and support to patients and relatives
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to facilitate best practice
  • Ensure confidentiality and manage day-to-day service provision
  • Network with professionals to identify best practice
  • Collaborate with Lead Nurse and others in reviewing nursing standards and policies
  • Develop diabetes guidelines and policies with Lead Consultant and others

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse qualification with significant post-registration experience in diabetes care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care
