**Job Title:** Diabetes Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diabetes Care Specialist to join our team at The Diabetes Times. In this role, you will participate in the strategic planning and delivery of Diabetes and Endocrinology services.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for developing educational programs for staff in diabetes management, providing advice and support to patients and healthcare professionals, communicating effectively with healthcare teams to facilitate best practice, ensuring confidentiality and managing day-to-day service provision.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop educational programs for staff in diabetes management
  • Provide advice, information, education and support to patients and relatives
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to facilitate best practice
  • Ensure confidentiality and manage day-to-day service provision
  • Network with professionals to identify best practice
  • Collaborate with Lead Nurse and others in reviewing nursing standards and policies
  • Develop diabetes guidelines and policies with Lead Consultant and others

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse qualification with significant post-registration experience in diabetes care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care
