My client, a prestigious security company, is seeking a Production Team Leader to join their Leicester electronics manufacturing base.

Pay Rate: Up to £30,843

The successful candidate will oversee production operations, enhancing productivity, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and leading a team to achieve manufacturing excellence.

  1. Supervise and lead a team of manufacturing personnel in a high-volume production environment
  2. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate targets
  3. Coordinate with other departments to meet production targets and maintain seamless operations
  4. Monitor production standards and quality control measures
  5. Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements
  6. Handle conflict resolution and perform problem-solving as necessary
  7. Support the training of new team members and ensure that all team members are competent in their roles
  8. Implement and support continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency and safety
  9. Ensure all manufacturing records are completed appropriately and accurately
  10. Ensure the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed
  11. Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
  12. Manage operators' attendance, employee-related issues, 121s, and performance reviews
  13. Identify areas for improvement and initiate projects aimed at lowering costs and improving quality

Key Competencies:

  1. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems
  2. Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
  3. Proficient in MS and any relevant manufacturing management software
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly
  5. Leadership and team management

Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Manufacturing background
  2. Previous experience as a People Leader in a manufacturing environment
  3. Knowledge of the GP MRP/ERP System or a similar system
