About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Programme and Project Professional to join our team as Assistant Head of Project Management Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective delivery of the NHS Wales Decarbonisation programme, working closely with a small team of project managers and supporting the Decarbonisation programme lead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full life cycle of projects, from initiation to closure, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including Director/Senior level/Executive level.
  • Deliver change management initiatives, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Manage staff and budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and optimization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in successfully managing complex projects, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent analytical, interpretational, and comparative skills, with the ability to deal with highly complex and sensitive information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels, with excellent verbal, written, and presentational skills.
  • Demonstrated personal effectiveness, with a strong ability to make a difference and drive positive change.
