About the Role:

The Assistant Head of Project Management Office will be responsible for the effective delivery of the NHS Wales Decarbonisation programme.

Working closely with a small team of project managers, the post holder will support the Decarbonisation programme lead and key stakeholders to deliver a transformational change with impacts across NHS Wales.

The Assistant Head will have a sound understanding of NHS Wales and the relationship with Health Boards and Trusts, and will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key responsibilities include leading on data analysis within the programme and projects, reviewing complex data, communicating data issues, and accurately analysing and interpreting information to inform all aspects of the role.

The post holder will also seek to support and embed best practice across the organisation, working closely with stakeholders from all services within NWSSP and NHS Wales.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experienced in managing the full life cycle of projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple complex tasks simultaneously and produce high-quality work within tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated personal effectiveness and ability to work on own initiative
