About the Role

The NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a highly skilled Health Improvement Specialist to join their team. This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, and the ideal candidate will have experience in project planning, management, and implementation.

As a Health Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining breastfeeding support in Borders. This involves engaging with families, health professionals, and early years staff to promote breastfeeding uptake and continuation rates. The successful candidate will also establish and embed implementation processes, including monitoring progress and maintaining a local database.

This role requires a person-centred friendly manner, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Applicants should be educated to Degree level and hold a postgraduate diploma in a health-related discipline or have significant experience working in a relevant field.
