About the Role

This exciting new role is a key part of the Blavatnik School of Government's development team, working closely with the Associate Dean for Philanthropy and the Director of Development and Alumni Relations. As an Executive Assistant and Development Coordinator, you will be highly organised, diplomatic, and possess excellent judgement, with brilliant written and interpersonal communication skills that engender extremely high levels of trust from senior leaders and all those with whom you liaise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the management of complex travel arrangements, including visas, drafting itineraries and booking flights and accommodation where necessary
  • Organise meetings, including all logistics, and manage diaries, using your initiative to make considered judgements when juggling demands on their time and shifting priorities
  • Act as first point of contact for routine development queries and visitors, acting as an ambassador for the development team and the wider School
  • Support the logistics and administration of events and visits led by the department team and on other development-related projects or programmes as required

About You

You will have a personable and diplomatic approach to dealing with a diverse range of people, employing tact, a high degree of discretion and initiative. Your approach will extend to including excellent team working skills, both within your own team and with other teams across the School. You will have experience of, or an understanding of, working on confidential matters and the ability to display high degrees of tact and discretion. Alongside high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, your strong communication skills will enable you to draft correspondence and presentation materials independently. You will have excellent IT knowledge with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Teams, and the ability to learn new systems. You will be passionate about the mission of the School and eager to work in a role offering a varied and interesting range of challenges in an exciting and stimulating environment.
