About the Role

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Pharmacist Specialist, you will play a key role in providing pharmaceutical advice to our acute and respiratory medicine areas.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmaceutical advice to acute and respiratory medicine areas
  • Develop the clinical service and further your own development in these areas
  • Lead the pharmacy medicine team and coordinate workflow and junior pharmacist assignments to optimize patient experience and hospital flow
  • Contribute to clinical projects, quality improvement programs, and teaching through developing management, leadership, and educational skills
  • Provide general pharmaceutical duties to the various sections of the pharmacy department and lead and supervise supporting staff

Person Specification
  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in pharmacy
  • Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Postgraduate certificate (or equivalent) in Clinical Pharmacy
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
  • Postgraduate diploma or Master's degree in clinical pharmacy
  • Independent prescribing qualification
