Join Our Team as a Chief Pharmacist

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Chief Pharmacist to oversee patient management and medication optimization within our cardiology services. This role involves providing expert pharmacist contributions to our newly established multidisciplinary team (MDT) focused on innovative treatments, ensuring comprehensive support for patients across our service area.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the clinical pharmacy team, which includes:
    • Clinical Pharmacy Manager
    • Lead Cardiac Pharmacist
    • Specialist and Foundation Rotational Pharmacists
    • Specialist Pharmacy Technician
  • Collaborate closely with the Anticoagulation and Thrombosis Pharmacy Team to enhance patient care.
  • Engage in educational initiatives alongside the Lead Pharmacist for Education and Training, focusing on undergraduate pharmacy education.
  • Provide specialized pharmacy services on cardiology wards, ensuring thorough medication reconciliation and management for patients.
  • Act as the pharmacy liaison for the MDT, offering guidance on medication dosing, interpreting genomic data, and addressing drug interaction concerns.
  • Design and implement high-quality educational programs for pharmacy students, leveraging extensive professional experience.
  • Allocate time effectively across patient-facing responsibilities, specialized MDT contributions, and educational activities.
