We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at North Bristol NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be part of our Band 7 Specialist Clinical Pharmacist Rotational Program, which offers a unique opportunity for career advancement and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Specialist Clinical Pharmacy Services: The successful candidate will provide high-level specialist clinical pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients on a rotational basis.
- Support to Lead Specialist Pharmacists: The candidate will provide support to the lead specialist pharmacists and act in accordance with Medicines legislation, the code of ethics of the General Pharmaceutical Council, United Kingdom Medicines Information (UKMI) standards, and Trust policies and procedures.
- Teaching and Supervision: The successful candidate will teach and supervise less experienced pharmacists, technicians, and students.
- Contribution to Pharmacy Services: The candidate will contribute to the Pharmacy weekend service, late nights, and provide backup support to the on-call pharmacists out of hours.
- Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate will be a Band 6 pharmacist due to complete the first year of their clinical diploma in the next few months or a Band 7 pharmacist eager to expand their expertise.
- Skills and Competencies: The candidate will have strong leadership, mentoring, and service development skills, with the ability to work in a large teaching trust with strong links to the ICB.
- Rotational Program: The successful candidate will participate in a rotational program that lasts 6 months, allowing them to immerse themselves fully in the specialty area and hone additional skills.
- Professional Growth: The candidate will have the opportunity to work in a variety of specialty areas, including ICU & surgery, technical services, pharmacoeconomics & ICB, neurosciences, Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC), Acute Medical & Frailty Admissions, Infectious Diseases, General Medicine, HIV, Respiratory, and Palliative Care.
