We are seeking enthusiastic graduates who are passionate about supporting children with special needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.

This role is perfect for those looking to embark on a long-term career in SEN or for experienced teaching assistants seeking a new challenge.

School Information

The school has a Special Resource Provision (SRP) that serves as a bridge between mainstream secondary education and special needs schooling.

The SRP consists of two classes with 7-9 children each, accompanied by a teacher and two teaching assistants. The students have varying needs, including:

  • Social, Communication and Interaction delay/difficulties
  • Autism
  • Speech and Language delay
  • Sensory processing difficulties
  • Physical self-help difficulties (requiring intimate care)
  • Cognition and learning delay
  • Global Delay
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

The provision focuses on play-based learning, with the curriculum adapted to meet the developmental abilities of the students.

The school is located in Waltham Forest, offering free parking on-site and a large campus surrounded by nature.

Job Details

£35,000 - £37,000 per annum (pro rata £15.63 - £16.54 per hour)

08:30 - 16:00 working hours

ASAP Start

This role is ideally suited for Psychology graduates or those interested in SEN, Mental Health, and Psychology.

The successful candidate will be expected to work effectively as part of a team to support the students' educational and personal development.
