Job Title:

A Healthcare Support Specialist Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with qualified staff to assess and implement individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks as directed to promote patient wellbeing.
  • Provide practical support and responsive care for patients who require assistance with intimate personal needs, ensuring compliance with procedures and healthcare legislation.
  • Maintain patient wellbeing by observing and monitoring physical, mental, or emotional occurrences, referring unusual cases to senior staff and documenting as necessary.
Working in a Multidisciplinary Team:

Contribute to team-based patient care, collaborating with the multidisciplinary team, participating in ward meetings, and attending other requested gatherings.

Maintenance and Support:

Assist in maintaining stock levels, including pharmaceutical products, contribute to ward cleanliness, and adhere to infection control policies at all times.

Patient Care and Relationship Building:

Develop and maintain professional relationships with patients, colleagues, and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and inquiries. Promote an environment that meets the needs of patients, relatives, and carers.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
