Job Title: Regional Health and Safety Adviser

This role offers the perfect balance of quality time with clients and minimal travel, covering Cornwall with agile/home working and site visits.

You will report directly to the SHEQ Lead, supporting health and safety across various sites. A mix of home-based work, office time, and site visits in Cornwall requires a full UK driver's license and a willingness to travel occasionally.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Developing Health and Safety Plans: Assist in creating and reviewing health and safety plans for each site, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practices.
  2. SHE Management System Guidance: Advise site teams on interpreting and applying SHE management systems, providing guidance on risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  3. Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Risk Management: Identify and manage SHE risks, issues, and opportunities, developing proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
Monitoring and Compliance:
  1. Audit Follow-up: Verify that non-compliance reports from internal and external audits are resolved with completed corrective actions, ensuring continuous improvement.
  2. Risk Assessment Review: Examine third-party risk assessments for quality and suitability to support the Asset Management team, ensuring alignment with company policies.
Promoting Excellence:
  1. Site Governance: Ensure the right level of governance and support is provided to sites based on availability, promoting a positive safety culture.
  2. H&S Best Practices: Stay aligned with current H&S thinking and knowledge on SHE legislation and best practices, sharing expertise with colleagues.
  3. Positive Attitude: Promote SHE excellence with a proactive, engaging, and positive attitude, driving a culture of safety awareness.

The estimated salary for this position is up to £44,000 + car allowance, depending on experience, offering flexible work arrangements and dedicated time to support clients on their safety journey.
