Job Title: OTM Fitter/Operator

Colas Rail UK is seeking a skilled OTM Fitter/Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our grinding machines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain grinding machines in accordance with Colas Rail UK's safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of grinding operations, including setting up and packing away equipment.
  • Collate data output from machines and report any defects or issues to the Grinding or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Work safely and effectively to Colas Rail Services Operations procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining quality systems, machine safety packs, and stabling database.
Requirements:
  • Recognised formal apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical engineering.
  • Core competencies of Foundation Course, Machine Setup and Pack away for Operation Grinding Railgrinding maintainer for Operations/Maintenance competence matrix.
  • Driving Licence.
  • PTS.
  • Fire Training.
  • Emergency First Aid.
  • Depot/Yard Inductions.
  • Basic Laser Safety.
  • COSS.
