Job Title: Railway Operator Driver/Fitter

Colas Rail UK is seeking a skilled and experienced Railway Operator Driver/Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving, operating, and maintaining our on-track machines in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and operate on-track machines in accordance with railway standards and customer instructions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machines, including daily and weekly checks.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of machines, including carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Report any incidents or issues to the maintenance team leader and Rugby Control Desk.
Requirements:
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive on-track machines.
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
