Railway Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitter/Operator/Maintenance Technician to join our team at Colas Rail UK. As an OTM Driver/Fitter/Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our on-track machines.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain on-track machines (OTMs) in a safe and competent manner, in accordance with Railway Standards and Colas Rail's Competency Based Standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on OTMs, including mechanical and electrical work.
- Assist specialist fitter staff with maintenance and repairs, and provide support with troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Communicate effectively with Rugby Rail Plant Control Room and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operation and maintenance of OTMs.
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Relevant qualifications in Vehicle, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of computer and phone skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Flexible, honest, and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work weekend and night shifts, and to travel for work purposes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and sense of professional pride.
