OTM Driver/Fitter/Operator Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced OTM Driver/Fitter/Operator to join our team at Colas Rail UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of on-track machines (OTMs) in accordance with the Competency Based Standards for Fitters, Operators and Maintainers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate OTMs in a safe and competent manner, adhering to Railway Standards and Colas Rail UK's safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on OTMs, including troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with specialist fitter staff to ensure the efficient operation of OTMs and the maintenance of a safe working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the Rugby Rail Plant Control Room and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in Vehicle, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of computer and phone skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Flexible, honest, and punctual with a strong sense of professional pride.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Valid full and clean road vehicle driving license.
