Job Title: Railway Operator Driver Fitter

At Colas Rail UK, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Railway Operator Driver Fitter to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for driving, operating, and maintaining on-track machines in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive and operate on-track machines in accordance with railway standards and customer instructions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Report any faults or issues with machines to the maintenance team and assist in resolving them.
  • Communicate effectively with site customers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine usage, maintenance, and repairs.

Requirements:
  • Valid driving license and experience driving on-track machines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
