Location: Remote

Hourly Rate: £13.00 Per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours)

Contract: Temporary Approx 3 months

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Credit Control Specialist to join our team at Workforce Staffing Ltd. As a Credit Control Specialist, you will be responsible for reconciling the main ledger, allocating daily payments promptly, and addressing daily queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling the main ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Allocating daily payments promptly to minimize delays
  • Addressing daily queries from customers, suppliers, and internal departments
  • Managing order releases to balance credit risk and business growth
  • Ensuring timely invoice uploads to support cash flow
  • Reconciling chargebacks and forwarding necessary credits for approval
  • Liaising with internal departments to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Sending weekly statements to customers to maintain transparency
  • Reducing bad debt on the ledger through proactive measures
  • Ensuring timely payments from customers through effective communication
  • Maintaining daily contact with customers via phone and email to resolve queries
  • Chasing overdue debt to minimize losses
  • Updating systems and shared spreadsheets to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Taking payments over the phone from customers to facilitate timely payments

Requirements:

  • Experience in Credit Control, ideally within the FMCG industry
  • Excellent IT skills, including intermediate Excel
  • EDI experience
  • Experience working towards targets
  • Openness to change and new ways of working
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Prompt action-taking to deliver results and support the team when needed
  • Ambitious, driven, and focused with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
