We are recruiting a dedicated team of mental health support workers to provide 24-hour care and support for an individual with complex needs in the Lincoln area. This role involves supporting a young lady in her 20's who has a diagnosis of EUPD and Sensory Processing Disorder, enabling her to live independently in her own home.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Gray Healthcare, a specialist Health and Social Care provider that supports people with complex needs, disabilities, and long-term conditions looking to step back into the community from in-patient support services. As a mental health support worker, you will be part of a dynamic approach to care that enables individuals to move back into their own homes and communities, giving them control of their lives. We create bespoke support packages for each individual, with support from our multi-disciplinary team, adaptable to meet all current and future needs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide 24-hour care and support to the individual, promoting independence and well-being
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the individual's needs, preferences, and goals
* Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to implement detailed care plans and risk assessments
* Support the individual in engaging in activities they enjoy, such as dancing and swimming
The ideal candidate will have social care experience, ideally within mental health, and some experience of supporting individuals with EUPD. You must also have a good sense of humour and be able to provide encouragement to someone with complex health needs and learning disabilities. A background in implementing detailed care plans and risk assessments is essential, as well as a current Right to Work in the UK and at least 6 months' employment in the UK. An enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references are also required. We offer competitive salaries, fully paid induction and training, company pension, professional development, and more.
The salary for this role is £12.03 per hour, with opportunities for career growth and development with Gray Healthcare.
