Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Director to lead our engineering team at Understanding Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence and innovation in our AI-driven platform for real estate investment analysis.

About the Role

As Senior Technical Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to a talented team of engineers, driving technical excellence and innovation.
  • Conducting regular code reviews and contributing directly to complex business logic to ensure the highest quality of our platform.
  • Driving architectural decisions and ensuring the scalability of our Python, Django, and AWS-based platform.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technology with business goals and objectives.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and best practices within the engineering team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong hands-on technical background with a passion for diving into code and a deep understanding of Python, Django, and AWS technologies.
  • Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams to drive technical excellence and innovation.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex, data-driven applications that meet business requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £100,000 - £140,000, based on experience, and the opportunity to shape the future of real estate investment technology. You will also have the chance to work with a passionate team dedicated to innovation and excellence.
