Job Title: Project Manager - Civil Engineering

Fawkes and Reece is a leading civil engineering contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our major highways project in Hampshire.

About the Project:

The project involves bulk earthworks, a new highway underpass and access roads, new highway construction, deep and shallow drainage, utility diversions and installation, culverts and other structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans to ensure timely delivery and quality of work
  • Manage and coordinate resources, including labor and subcontractors
  • Liaise with stakeholders and attend regular meetings to ensure effective communication
  • Monitor and report on project progress and commercial matters to the Senior Project Manager
  • Maintain a safe and secure site environment
  • Assist in the implementation and management of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
  • Direct and manage all site-based activities

Requirements:

  • NVQ L6/7 in Construction Management and/or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering (desirable)
  • Strong project management background on civil engineering projects, specifically Highways and Infrastructure, 278 Works
  • Excellent supervision and organisational skills
  • Experience in successfully managing relationships with stakeholders and members of the public
  • Proven management skills and ability to manage a project effectively and efficiently, delivering high outputs and exceeding expectations
