Job Description

This role will involve working on various CNC machines to produce high-quality cylinder blocks, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications. You will be responsible for enhancing production quality, contributing to safety, promoting team collaboration, driving continuous improvement, maintaining equipment and work area, achieving production goals, and ensuring compliance with standard work procedures and quality protocols.

You will work effectively within a team, communicating openly and supporting peers to achieve common production goals and improve processes. You will also actively participate in identifying and implementing improvements in quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Effective communication skills to deliver clear, tailored communications and ensure information is understood and actionable.
  • Courage and accountability to address difficult issues directly, take ownership of responsibilities, and hold yourself and others accountable.
  • A commitment to health and safety, promoting proactive behaviours, reporting hazards, and participating in safety actions.
  • Manufacturing expertise, including process changes, adapting to new equipment, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

You will require a high school diploma or equivalent with strong math and technical skills. Beneficial vocational training in CNC machining or engineering is preferred, as well as advantageous health and safety coursework.

Preferred experience includes operating CNC machines and producing high-quality parts, with desirable experience in manufacturing, automotive, or engineering fields. Training will be provided.
