Junior Process Engineer

ACS Staffing Solutions is partnering with a progressive business in Daventry to find a junior process engineer for a permanent role. This opportunity is ideal for a career-driven individual looking to gain experience and development in configuring and optimising manufacturing processes for internal projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop process documentation and operating instructions
  • Provide training and coaching to process operators
  • Contribute to sourcing new manufacturing equipment and bringing it into production, including fixture design and manufacture, CNC and robot programming, and hands-on machining experience
  • Support NPI processes, including PPAP
  • Set up BOMs and BOOs on the ERP system
  • Assist with non-conformance investigations
  • Design and implement packaging instructions
  • Occasionally design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes, incorporating data collection and analysis

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

A general understanding of engineering principles, machining, and fabrication, including engineering drawings and specifications.
3D and 2D CAD skills, particularly in Solidworks, and/or hands-on experience with machining (milling and/or turning) and CNC programming.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and report writing skills, with accuracy and clarity being essential.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally to achieve targets and objectives.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and an analytical thinker with good interpersonal skills.
Hands-on experience with press brake forming and laser cutting, and programming, is desirable.
A BS/BEng degree in Engineering is also desirable.
