About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Packaging Environmental and Regulatory Specialist to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Daventry.

As a key member of our Logistics team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing processes to effectively manage the constantly changing packaging regulatory environment across the globe.

The environmental impact of packaging is also a key focus of this role, where you will be responsible for developing a process to audit packaging waste at manufacturing facilities to meet our PLANET2050 goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage packaging environmental and regulatory improvement projects.
  • Develop and deploy a physical waste audit process for UK-based manufacturing and logistics facilities.
  • Collect and analyze packaging data from external suppliers and other Cummins sites.
  • Work with global supply chain partners on environmental packaging improvement projects.
  • Provide input and develop visuals for environmental and regulatory newsletters.
  • Read and interpret regulatory guidance.

Requirements:

  • Working towards a degree in Sciences, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Project Management.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBi.
  • Previous experience in business or packaging and warehousing is a plus.
  • Ability to process legal or regulatory information, understand data, solve problems, and think innovatively.
