Job Overview:

The Blackhall and Peterlee Practice is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join their team. This role requires strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and excellent organizational abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming patients to the practice, booking and rearranging appointments, maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
  • To ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice
  • Care Navigation - Signpost patients to the most appropriate service (internally or externally)
  • Action medication queries / repeat prescription / online repeat prescription requests

Requirements:

  • Customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
